I have severe gastritis and I went to see the GP today and she gave me domperidone but I read the leaflet about side effects and it freaked me out it can cause very fast heart rates and I already have atrial fibrillation and I stupidly googled it and it made things even worse for me. Now I am in a lot of pain and too scared to take it. I have had indigestion non stop for 3 days and I am just about demented. I am going away for a weekend tomorrow with my church people that I know and I think I trust and I am worried about what happens if my anxiety comes back in the middle of the night in a strange location 106 miles away from home. And I will be travelling in the rush hour as well I really want to go

TBH i don't think people here are going to be able to help with your multiple problems which seem to be related very much to anxiety. Have you thought about trying CBT?
ps please don't worry about the domperidone and just take it
didn't do me any harm...............
I take domperidone for nausea and it helps me a lot.I take it on average 3 times a day....10mg each time.Perhaps you should check with your Dr or pharmacist...check if it clashes with other pills too.I don't experience increased heart rate though.Good luck.
tbh your GP should have considered other medicines you take before prescribing an additional one. If you are still worried ask your pharmacist tomorrow.

Most medicines have side effects but they are only secondary. Your GP has considered your problem sufficient to warrant the medication, so please take it. If you feel better in yourself you will be calmer and this in itself should make things better for you :)
Very very unlikely your GP would prescribe anything that may affect your existing conditions. As a rule I never read side effects as they can actually make you have them even if you would not of.
Take one dose and see how you feel, I am sure you will feel better and then be more confident about continuing. If very anxious about this medicine take half the dose until you see it will not affect you.
Love,
Gavin
Take it. It's a godsend. Once your pain subsides your anxiety will too and you'll feel better.
I swear by the stuff.
By the way, I didn't get a fast heart rate either.
