How long is an AB suspension ?

After someone commented on the right wingers on News I remember old R1Geezer so looked him up. Still suspended since 2011.

So how long is an AB suspension or is there no 'Ban' ?

He's Banned (but some of his posts remain), so it's like a permanent suspension.......however, he does like to creep back in, now and again.

I think they forget sometimes. I had to ask for Chaffinch to be UNsuspended and she was. Not posted again though last time i looked.

I wonder if ssupended users get an email asking them whether they are ready to come back and operate within the rules. Some may choose to return; some may choose not to; some may have registered with a disposable/fictitious email address so never receive the invitation; and others don't bother because they have already returned under a new name

I was banned , but I emailed ed and it was changed to a suspension.
A week later the suspension was lifted.

Some ABers were very bad an deserved to get the chop. However, some simply failed to accept admonishments from Ed to desist in a particularly contentious thread and after final warning were sent to the place of eternal damnation. CB has fewer characters these days.

ladybirder - Kerosene (aka paraffin) only returned in that guise because eyethenkyew had been suspended. When unmasked (and subsequently zapped) his immediate return as OrcadianOil lasted less than 5 minutes before extinction. His re-return as ahmskunnirt ended last night.

I suspect a love of animals is not enough to mitigate breaking Site Rules.
