Im not sure if there is an official one. Laurence of arabia was known as Orenz, or Al Orenz to his arab mates.....Laurence comes from a latinic source, and the arabs had reduced contact with rome compared to many peoples.

What I'm trying to do is establish the Arabic version for 'he who is crowned with laurels' or simply 'crowned with laurels' from which the Latin 'Laurentius' came, and from which all European versions are derived. A follow-up question, therefore, could be: What is the Arabic form of Stephen (which is the Greek version of Lawrence - if you see what I mean)?
