Yesterday was the first time I`ve ever seen every desk manned at Border Control. Half of them are usually empty. They must have been having a little flurry of activity before taking the day off. They`ve got nice weather for it too.

Hard one to call without knowing the exact nature of their grievance. I know it is a highly opportunist time to strike, when it will have the greatest impact, but perhaps their grievance is genuine?

And there are levels of grievance. Our current dispute, (in my occupation) is, in my opinion, genuine and very worthy, and that's not just speaking from a selfish point of view.

It's difficult to see what possible benefit they'll get from a striking at this time. The only outcome will be that they'll lose any public sympathy they may have had.

The left will always look for an opportunity to (in their eyes) embarrass the Tories. They dont care about jobs, the economy or any of us. They are too busy swanking around in large cars on ex'sand living in big houses whilst on 6 figure salaries.

Not all disputes are genuine. I've been involved in trade unions for many years and was a shop steward in NIPSA many moons ago. I've seen many genuine disputes, but I've also seen highly spurious ones.
