Iron socks? Are you mad??
No, the cleaners do, and they iron the socks as well; maybe they need more to do. Could be worse; in France, I used to employ a woman who initially asked me how much starch I wanted in my underwear. There's no answer to that!
I did for fifty-seven years-not now!
I hardly iron anything. My sister used to iron nearly everything, came from time she spent working in a hotel.
What's an iron?
I get the valet to do it after putting toothpaste on the brush.
Ironed a pair of nylon knickers once - don't know where they went.
Pillowcases I iron, sheets I don't.
