Of course not.

"Mansion" is a stupidly evocative term.

In this context, it means "a fairly big house, which the couple have worked hard all their lives, and been careful with their money, in order to afford it"

Why pick on people who choose to spend their money on buying a nice house.

People who have more money, but live in smaller houses, are not touched, even though they blow all their money on Mercedes cars and holidays in Dubai.

Why not have a "nice car tax" or a "foreign holiday tax" or an "eating in posh restaurants" tax.

A "so called" mansion tax is utterly, utterly ludicrous.
It's a con....................and after paying all that their children get stung with inheritance tax.
JJ, my sentiments exactly, stupid tax drummed up by stupid politicians.
