Whereas it is a pity that in 2012 Britain, some poor unfortunates are forced to sleep on the streets, I don't see why we should allow these illegal immigrants, to litter our areas.

/// ‘I asked the council what they were going to do about it. They said they had delivered a letter translated into Punjabi about a voluntary repatriation scheme. Surprise, surprise – it doesn’t seem to have done the trick.’ ///

Perhaps instead of lashing out aid to India, we should use this money to provide humane accommodation for these asylum seekers, until such times when the immigration authorities can get round to vetting them, and consequently sending them back?

/// We have had to put up with your particular venom for a lot longer though haven't we!! ///

Your reply arguments are getting weaker by the minute.

I could if I wanted to, supply you with the type of answers you give to all my posts, mostly personally abusive or taunting.

Have I every called you in such a way? Yes I have disagreed with you, but I have never been abusive towards you.

What you call 'venom' from me, are actually just postings and arguments that you do not personally agree with.
Bait. Not to be risen to.

Before I joined, last Tuesday, I've been reading the site for 3 or 4 months to see what's happening. Today seems no different from any other day, AOG starts a new thread by reprinting half the Daily Mail and sometimes adding a usually badly formed question or simply relying on a closing statement with a ? attached and calling it a question.
there then follows a bit of chest beating and belittling of those who disagree with him, then a gradual realisation that he's not quite as popular as he thinks he should be, usually followed by an, "Informe Informe, they've all got it in for me moment" of Martyrdom, and the beginning of a new thread.
^^ Fair summaries, imo.
I see the new thread started as I was typing the above^^^^^^^^^^^^^

/// Your particular venom is placed towards anyone who is gay or coloured on an immigrant. ///

Not correct in the way you obviously suggest.

I have never made offensive (mind you in this day practically everything is classed as offensive) or abusive remarks against Gays per se, only counter addressed some gay related issues.

Coloured: if making comments of various illegal activities, that happen to be committed by persons some of whom may be coloured, then yes I am guilty.

Immigrant: If openly admitting that I am against mass immigration and it's implications upon this country, then once again I am guilty.

All this is not venom, but the act of daring to take a different view, from those who wish us all to 'sing from their own particular hymn sheet'.
I think it's a case of when AOG is disagreeing with people, it's healthy debate. When they are disagreeing with him, it's abuse.

Half of his answers are nitpicking what people have said, pointing out imaginary abuse, and has nothing to do with the OP
Spot on Mot! Pml, it goes beyond parody.
Have you had opportunity to gather your thoughts about this, AOG ?

It was all left quite unresolved as to which side of the fence you were on.......in fact, it became quite unclear as to which fence, itself, was involved.......?

If you are not enjoying the experience no one is forcing you to post.

So much to say from someone that has never entered a question, but has commented on other's 55 times.

Perhaps when you have been a member much longer you will get into the swing of things, interesting to note however that you hide your gender, any particular reason?
<weeps with laughter>
Well said Mot and JTH, I was going to bring up the subject of his gaffe which was priceless, the AOG thread of the year. It almost had me getting my Master(race)Card out to use to send him a slice of humble pie or an aple turnover.

What is "good for the goose, is definitely not god for the gander," when it comes to AOG's generic approach to debates and opinions here.
Dt, did you tick the sheepbox when you declared your gender? ;-)
well I had it rammed down me.....and it affected my capabilities in spelling, sloopy (more the keyboard and lack of proofing)!
totally agree with what ummmm said.... though i must give aog his due this time...he usually posts and runs until one of his aliases comes on and agrees with him......

oh dear did i say aog had aliases...sorry thats not proven as far as i know, im just going by slip ups ive seen (and no ive no links, im sure a lot of us have seen em though)
I have not so much as hinted that I was not enjoying it, so please don't make it up as you go along.
It's true I have not entered a question, so far I just havn't felt the need to do so and as far as I know it is not compulsory.
As to my gender, that again is not a compulsory requirement of membership, if it were I would not have been able to OMIT it rather than hide it.

Not in the least, the whole point of this site is to either agree or disagree, but one can disagree without bringing personal abuse into the equation.

If everyone agreed with everyone else it would be a pretty boring site, but we can all disagree without the need for personal insults.

Try it and see.

OP ///

Isn't that precisely what some of you do?

Take the OP did anyone agree or even disagree with my suggestion for providing humane accommodation for these asylum seekers? No they just chose to turn my question into a we hate AOG session.

Just check it out that's all I ask, look at what I have said and then at what others have said.

Isn't it just because I choose to pick mainly Right-Wing controversial subjects to post, mostly but not all from the Daily Mail, that upsets you all so?

Shall we all agree to post from the Guardian, on matters that don't involve Blacks, Asians,Gays, Immigrants, Left-Wingers, Liberal Lefties, Religion?

And shall we all agree to agree with each other and only post on support for the Left-Wing, any other religions apart from Christianity, Anti- Monarchy, Anti-British issues etc, etc?

Just a suggestion, please feel free to make any suggestions, that will make this site more harmonious.

Stand down those who said "Get rid of anotheoldgit. but think about it do you really want that?
^^^^^^^^informe informe^^^^^^^^^^
