Just when you think Cameron has cleared the decks by allowing a £1mn compensation to the likes of Binyam Mohammed others pop out of the woodwork to claim a handout.

Or a sauer kraut?
I am not sure what point you are making, rov1100. Are you suggesting Cameron is responsible for what happened in 2004? What do you suggest we do? It is not about a handout. It's a case of potential legal action.

Hardly surprising that this is going to cost us

We are found to be complicit in people being abducted and tortured over several years of illegal imprisonment whilst proclaiming at the same time to the World at large that we would never have anything to do with such foul deeds.

Perhaps Mr Belhaj will cut us some slack when it comes to decide 'how much' due to the assistance we (eventually) provided in ousting his torturers.
The UK should not indulge in torture and break the its own laws. If it does then it is liable for this kind of claim.
