Can anyone tell me if provisions have been made to ensure people from other countries arriving, ostensibly,to see the Olympic games, use their return tickets.Or will they be allowed to disappear into the British[English]woodwork?

Same as usual I would have thought. We get loads of visitors every year. I don't think they'll be electronically tagged if that's what you're wondering.
It'll be the same , but in reverse, of when we go abroad on holiday
Didnt you know, theres a new olympic game called Hide and Seek

WE do get" loads of visitors every year",like last year-trouble was many hundreds of thousands stayed here illegaly. We have a very serious problem here and we dont seem to be able to do anything about it.
How do you suggest they make sure everyone gets on their return flight?

but some of them will be carrying spears and balls with chains on.

maybe we should set up a home guard. don't panic.

we'll keep the ones that run fast though!
Just show them all a video of the riots and they'll all want to go home.
don't be silly redh, everyone knows the locals are just visitors waiting for visas.

in all seriousness though, i am slightly perturbed at triggs finish line suggestion above.

surely a well aimed and loaded starting pistol will be more effifient and give the white guys a chance ? double brucie bonus.

"allowing them to disappear into the british (english) woodwork" is positive cultral integration.

I dont know the answer-which is why I am asking the question. Its a government/border agency problem.
Wasn't it much better when every person coming through immigration HAD to produce a passport ?

W Ron.
You can safely assume to the answer to be "no"
How many visitors to Britain are there every year? How on earth can the UKBA - or anyone - be expected to ensure they all board there pre-booked flights home? If you think about it it would be an impossibility.
However, the vast majority of people who come to the UK actually have no wish to stay on in the country after their holiday.
