They say they will stay till Christmas. I wonder if the parade can go ahead now?
Should they be "forced out" now?
if so, how could this be be enforced,
The Bankers don't give a stuff that these people are protesting !, and what have they achieved by it?

Force through the right channels LG, like a court order?
You want the courts to be used as a blunt instrument to stifle legitimate protest?

Wow........slippery slope and all that....

Anybody see my post?? Your question Was about Armistice Day Bobbi.
What's to say that these protesters won't behave with the utmost respect and reverence on Armistice Day?

Move them on 'just in case'?
I was just making the point that if they stopped it for the day, it would be noticed and probably applauded by those who don't like them.
Anyone else find it ironic that some ABers are advocating the use of force or repression to stifle legitimate, peaceful protest, just it case it might interfere with Rememberance Sunday, which is itsefl a visible public demonstration of respect to all those who died fighting tyranny, oppression, repression and fascism?
any tenuous links to inconvenience your average joe londoner is fair game. next everyone will hate the protestors because the turning on of the christmas lights at oxford street might have to be cancelled.

honestly, its like a pantomime.

booo, bad protestors....
Anyway, is St. Pauls going to be part of the traditional Remembrance Day celebrations/ceremony, this year?

They are usually focused on Whitehall, etc. I don't remember St. Pauls featuring anywhere in them, in the past.

/// St Pauls has survived for 400 years........including attacks by the attacks by the Luftwaffe, I think it'll withstand the 'assault' of a few Peaceniks. ///

Once again you seem to have lost the plot, this is not about the protesters inflicting damage on St Pauls.

Yes it may have survived for 400years, but only because of the numerous restoration programmes that it has needed to enable it to be kept in the condition that it is now in, and this costs money.

But thanks to these Anti Capitalism Protesters, this is costing St Pauls up to £20,000 a day in lost revenue, money that is much needed to maintain the building in the condition that we now still find it in this the 21st century.

B"ut thanks to these Anti Capitalism Protesters, this is costing St Pauls up to £20,000 a day in lost revenue, money that is much needed to maintain the building in the condition that we now still find it in this the 21st century."

surely you mean the bankers who funded the £40m redevelopment and are at the very highest levels of governing st pauls cathedrals are pulling the strings. they must be seething at all that lost profit to line their pockets.
Question Author
so the way I see it
you all, or nearly all, agree with these people???
I don't, I wish they would move on...
Question Author
I am sure most veterans will appreciate what they are doing.

you really think this Triggs???
well you said the same about dale farm, i suppose you don't like people getting in the way, unless they go on to achieve something.

Oh dear, AOG......I put the word 'assault' in marks to indicate that I was not trying to imply that St Pauls was under direct physical attack.....

£20,000 a day, you say.........small change to some of the Bankers presently being challenged by the Peaceniks. Let them put their hands into their own Saville Row suit pockets instead of those of the 'wo/man in the street'.
Question Author
it doesn't mean I don't have an opinion though Triggs, 300 miles away or not, but Chrissa is right, the OP was actually to do with the Armictice Day parade
