One in six UK mobile phones are contaminated with faecal bacteria.

Keep in mind that if there are at least six replies to this question then on average one of those users must have a cr*ppy phone (and that's not just because of the make).

Bleah - oh bleah. At least I don't use the phone when I'm on the loo (as some do...)

(That's me No. 1 out of 6, phew, it's not me!)
Good job I'm not planning on eating it.
When I worked for BT in the 70's a little man used to wander round the office disinfecting everyone's phone..............
Tut... Hygiene in the UK has really gone down the pan !
arh, I remember that very well
We had a 'little woman' who did our phones. We reckoned she was evenly distributing the bugs round them.

Is that why the keys keep jamming!!!!
I spend half my life in hotel rooms and I always carry anti-bacterial wipes with me. I have taken to using them on hotel TV remote control handsets. I like to think that when I`m completely knackered and will fall asleep on front of the the TV, at least my hand are not contaminated with a week`s worth of bacteria from goodness know`s where.
You don't have to be using it in the bathroom, if you don't wash your hands afterwards that'll do it.
PS It's probably all over your keyboard as well!
Just as well I wash my hands then, so does OH..... can't speak for the licky-bum catz though....
And as for the peanuts on the bar at your local, how many little bits of poo has dropped in that bowl!
I always thought it was wee-stained hands, ratter, never thought about poobits.
Having discovered our phones are contaminated perhaps they would like to check our money, If 16% of mobile phones are covered then every note and coin must be equally affected.
A few years ago I had a very badly upset stomach which landed me in hospital.
I had a notifiable disease and all the doctors wanted to know which 3rd world country I been to. I hadn't been abroad at all but I had eaten somosas from a street vendor. I still shudder to think it was all because that seller had been handling food without washing her hands.
If that statistic is correct it's as good a reason as any not to lend your mobile phone to anyone.
anti bacterial spray... but to be honest those of us who grew up in the pre hyper hygiene days have immune systems that can cope with pretty much anything....
