Some councils ban breast feeding in public buildings such as reception areas and libraries.

Do you agree with banning or is it natural?

Of course it's natural, but may be public buildings should provide a quiet area for mums to feed their babies.
breastfeeding is natural.

feeding a hungry baby in public is fine by me as most mums are descrete. I dont agree with those who make a point of showing the world what they are doing, flapping boobs about everywhere. They seem to use it more as a "look at me and dare complain" taunt. There is no need for it.
^What redcrx said. :o)
I agree red.
Yes also agree with redcrx
I think it should be obligatory, and if the woman doesn't have a baby she should go borrow one.

But being devil's advocate for the moment, some might same having a crap was natural but one didn't do it in full view. Natural is not a justification. For reasons I'm unsure of some find it distasteful (no accounting for taste is there) and can not see why new mothers can not be more discrete.
More women breast fed years ago but never in public, I don't see that it should be done now in full view of everyone else, it's natural yes but between mother and baby, not for public viewing. Agree with redcrx especially as nowadays people think anything should be shown or done in front of others whether they want to view or not. Must say those who are pregnant actually showing their bump with it not fully covered is offensive to me, again it's not a public viewing spectacle so I'm old fashioned enough to know what should and shouldn't be done in public imo.
Did I read somewhere a while ago that women can now breast feed in restaurants? I haven't come across the situation but I don't think I'd like if the woman was sitting on the table next to me...
Breast feeding is a totally natural private bonding moment between mum & baby. Mums can breast feed very discreetly with ease. No, I think a restaurant isn't an area to be breastfeeding!
if done correctly then it looks no different to a mother cuddling her child (apart from example i gave earlier whereby women are doing it for the attention). Would anyone be offended if that happened next to them in public? If you need to look hard enough to realise the mother is feeding then you are staring.
Yes I agree red.
Ban breastfeeding in all public places and also ban the far more distasteful sight of someone in a restaurrant waving page 3 of the Sun about.
Or else ban neither, anywhere.
I favour the latter approach.
completely inappropriate to have a meal in a restaurant...

Follow up question.

What if it might offend religious people using the buildings? Should it still be allowed?
Its perfectly natural, they just need to be a little discreet, if that offends some religious people, then they rally need to get a life!!
Its what your boobs were made for of course its natural - bet it was a man who suggested the ban!
Gromit what has religion got to do with offending people in this instance, it's surely down to any person being offended not just because they are religious or have I missed the point?
im not religious, do religious women not breastfeed?
Religion shouldn't enter in to it. If women arediscreet or have a private area to feed in then that's o.k!
But the baby is having a meal in a restaurant ?!?
Not that they ever seem to eat it all.
