This as got to be good news, that will most likely take over the headlines of our newspapers, radio and TV.

But is the news that it now makes Serbia's entrance into the EU a little more certain, not such good news?

/// The country has been under intense pressure from the international community to catch Europe's most wanted war crimes suspect and the EU has insisted on his arrest as a condition for its membership bid. ///

Croatia did the same with Ante Gotivina - he was arrested in Tenerife, I think. This facilitated Croatia's entry to the queue for the EU.
What !?!
It's actually a *bad* thing that Mladic has been captured.......?

You'll wring the last positive drop out of any news story providing the remaining dry husk fits with your own perverse slant on the world.......

Yet another monster arrested.
I want to check the conventions on tabloid terminology being used here.

Can a Serbian General who is 'brutal' be described as a 'savage'?

Or is that ethnically confusing? Especially when the Rwandan is described as a 'monster'.

Does the OP have access to a reliable Thesaurus or is he just using an abbreviated list issued by The Sun?

I will not stoop to your level of abuse, only to say please do not use discriminating words to somehow belittle me, I refer to this complete lie of yours.

Where have I said that?

What I did say,

" This as got to be good news " (Ratko Mladic's arrest) "

" But is the news that it now makes Serbia's entrance into the EU a little more certain, not such good news "?

Do you see? Serbia's entrance into the EU is not such good news.

So before you accuse me of being perverse, look no further than yourself.
His capture was a condition of Serbia's <<Bid>> for membership not their <<entrance>>

So don't worry Vicki OG your 'yes but-no but-yes but-no but' is probably a bit unwarranted. The wait for ec membership will be even longer than the Tories' NHS waiting list.

Good news! But I wish the Serbs would come clean about being the murderers of Jill Dando.
You seem to be assuming Serbia joining the EU is a bad thing.

Why is that? The whole point of a Union is that the more members it has, the stronger it will be. Or is the assumption that they will all want to come and live here?
Aren't they already living in Deutschland or Den Nederland.....and a few over here?

Last one out, leave the light on for the Bosnians. They need some new housing stock.
