If the judge warned you that a custodial sentence was being considered then you can expect the worst. Being pregnant is no bar to being sent to prison, and your baby could be born in prison. However, probation may recommend a suspended sentence, whatever happens I hope that your baby and you will come out of this situation ok. If you can let us know what happens. Keep your chin up!!!
There is something wrong with the justice system when a pregnant woman is threatened with prison for a first offence of theft.

Just make sure your solicitor lays it on the line about your condition. Hopefully, a suspended sentence is a more probable outcome.
Prisons are over-flowing & they dont want responsibily of pregnant women (unless killers). You will get probation & maybe tagged, ball & chain job! ;)

Keep 'clean' or SS will take your babe.
the moral of the story? Don't take things that do not belong to you, simple

personally i thi8nk it would be silly to jail you, but not because you are pregnant, but because you do sound as if you are sorry. However, it really rests on what, where, when's or how's? You dont say whay you stole? I mean if it was fraud and you stole 1000's of ' s then you deserve prison and the justice system would not be wrong, but if it was a lippie from Boots then a fine would suffice, most probably
i do not thonk you will go to prison for a first offence but don;t take what is not yours!
If a judge has said custody is very likely then it is obviously a strong possibility. I would guess it is a large amount or maybe fraud.

As already suggested get your solicitor to lay it on thick that you're pregnant.

If the worst come to the worst women do have and keep their babies in prison for sometime.

Keep your chin up
It probably will affect you sentence but it bl0ody shouldn't! All ladies could go around doing whatever they want then saying ooohhh but I'm pregnant, go easy on me. Maybe you could have thought about that before nicking stuff?!
