Yes there's one vegan who regularly preaches on here and their ignorance of how animal based food is produced is jaw dropping. Apparently eating hens eggs is eating an unborn chicken......and cruel...….no idea that a hen will lay an egg regardless of human intervention (or a cockerel for that matter)

I have always found them to be very polite ,extremely well dressed,and a quick no thanks from me ,sends them on their way ,with no pressure from them,
I have heard people say,
Oh I just tell them to F off,and they go.
No need for that a polite no thanks is all that’s required.

I agree about being polite to JW and just saying 'no thanks' -I doubt Vegans would be as polite as JW though, they seem to be a bit unhinged to me.

Yes I did (well, about two or three minutes of it). It prompted me to ask Mrs NJ the same question (are they the new JWs?).

Apparently they assembled in the house in order to spread the word of their quasi-religion. I happen to think all religious missionaries are arrogant bar stewards who believe it is their duty to convert other people to their beliefs and these were certainly no exception. The trouble is that these people (who are essentially fussy eaters, albeit for the best of intentions) are being given considerable air time and column inches to air their views and many of them view eating meat as a criminal offence akin to murdering all the first-borns. It's about time it was seen for what it is - an intolerant view of other people's habits which they are attempting to change by coercion or even force.

APG I just want a vegan to tell me what they expect when all the cows, sheep, pigs etc are set free.......... in fact I have all sorts of questions to ask.

Actually I have no problem with people choosing to eat a plant based diet -just keep it to themselves instead of preaching, and get their facts right about farming and the environment and how 'good for the planet' a plant based diet really isn't.
