I did too much this morning, half hour walk then over an hour at the gym upping resistance on the bike and rower and doubling time. I need ibuprofen.... Stiffening up rapidly. Feel free to laugh.

Came away feeling I had loads more in the tank. But had to wait ages for a bus so might have cooled down too quickly. I will have a long hot soak later, (Epsom salts) then an early night. Tomorrow is just yoga for an hour first thing so that should stretch out any remaining tightness.
It'll probably Sunday you'll really feel it.

It does get much easier.

Not giving up, I have already gone down a dress size. But I don't normally end up this sore. At least it reduces my appetite. Only half a diet version lasagne was plenty with salad, but I did buy a winebox today because I was throwing away a lot of wine because I didn't finish the bottle in time. I know sacrilege throwing away wine!!!!
You know you can freeze wine? It freezes like a Slush Puppy but tastes just the same.
After Annual qualification fitness tests, assault courses, circuit training, bleep test sprint runs about 20 years ago I have now decided that fitness training is bad for one's health.
I went to a re-union about 4 years ago and one surviving PTI of about 6 in our Group attended. After he hobbled over with beggared knees to greet me, He said,"Hello mate. I'm surprised you are still going strong. Thought you would be dead by now" ( That was friendly banter in case some of you thought that was an offensive thing to say.So don't be offended on my account :-) I enquired after his fellow PTI's and they were all brown bread. We were all about the same age. Nah .Forget it. Oh .HoHoHo
You have to do it if you want to lose weight though. I used to train 4 times a week. For fitness, not weight loss. I would run in the street though, to harsh on your joints.

I was doing my sons paper round for him and was walking behind a woman jogging and we were going the same speed!! Why put that stress on your joints when you can just walk fast instead....
That should say 'I wouldn't' run in the street.

I would like to look in a mirror and see a fitter more toned shape, someone who can get out of the sofa without swearing, and when the lift is out of action can manage more than two flights of stairs. Not aiming for a size twelve, or a marathon, just improved functionality. Trying to improve my brain by learning new skills as well. I just don't want to be one of those old women bent over a walker telling the same stories to anyone who will listen.
Try jogging on the pavement in the wrong footwear i.e plimsolls. That will do your knees and thighs a real favour in later life and no error. :-(
I know. Painful.
And it hurts your back when your trainers are ending their life.
Just walking for forty minutes a day, at a brisk rate, all you need to do. You need to keep it up though.

I like the variety, walking, yoga, gym, and once I find a quiet enough pool swimming again. Wii fit when I want something more fun
"And it hurts your back when your trainers are ending their life."

Lol. As I wrote earlier. 5 of my trainers have already ended their life. :-)

Hahaha not kind but quite funny, I have a black type of humour.
I admire you rowanwich. Well done. After your long soak, have a nice glass of wine ;-)
