Hi - I took advantage of 40% off a pair of ladies sandals from Hotter. They arrived today & they are so cheap looking, they were made in China, there is no mention on them of the Hotter name (apart from a removable insert). They were ordered from the Hotter website & arrived in a Hotter shoe box. I will NEVER buy Hotter shoes again if this is the standard they are now selling.

that's odd, they say they make their shoes in the UK. Does it say they were made in China?

You can send them back for a refund if you ordered on line.
Lots of adverts for Skechers online which is a scam.
I’m really surprised, I thought they are all UK made. Shane if they are not. What is the style name so we can avoid?
As lankeela has hinted, there are a lot of scam websites. I suspect that you have found one of them. Do you remember the address of the website you bought from?
I'd like to know the style name, too.
I would be very surprised if there are fake Hotter shoes on the market, I can't find any online that are suspiciously cheap nor any links to fake Hotter websites.
Search harder Barry, fake product and websites abound.
I know they do, but I can't find any fake Hotter.
Have you found any, Ozzy?

The style I ordered was "Luciana" but the Chinese ones are named "Eliah". Even with the 40% off offer they were still not cheap, I paid Hotter and assumed they would be up to their usual standard - but they really are very cheap looking - even the cardboard box was better made!!
I can't find 'Eliah' on their website but they are not what you ordered so send them back for a full refund including return postage.

I would also write to head office querying them selling footwear made in China. This really is very poor standards from Hotter, I'm surprised.
Does it say anywhere that they are made in China?
You seem reluctant to say where exactly, you bought from.
Hotter do Elias shoes, though it looks as if they're now sold out after a 60% off sale

the other ones are Lucania, still available

Not even a similar style
but both made in Britain, according to the website. That's why I wondered how the OP knows they weren't. It's not as if shoe makers do "substitutions" like supermarkets.

There is no doubt these sandals were sent from Hotter - I have bought footwear online from them for years. All the paperwork is identical to invoices I have had in the past. Having now done some research online it appears that Hotter are very slow to send refunds to customers who are returning shoes to them & perhaps the business papers are correct when they say the company is in "trouble".
How do you know they were made in China?
I presume you have phoned them, coughdrop? What did they have to say?

These Chinese sandals "look" like Luciana, label clearly says made in China but named as Eliah. I am still waiting for a reply to my complaint
from HOTTER website......
