Scary Thought...ll

Just sat here this eve and I realised I’m just 6 years younger then my mum when she died, which was young. It’s just really shook me this eve, don’t know why x

Funny how these things pop into your head Smow. I'm now 20 years older than my mum was when she died.

I think about that too. Comes on randomly.

its that time when we consider our own mortality, my father died age 60.

Mr Em was just 63, time has flown by.

Mine was 59. My mother is still fighting fit. She's 67 which actually sounds quite young.

It’s just really upset me. I know it’s stupid.

So did my Dad. My mother died at 71, the age I am now. My brother died at 60 and both my grandmothers died at 73. If I get to 74 I will have outlived all my close relatives.

its not stupid. In the wee small hours thoughts come about those we loved and lost. I for one have passed both my fathers age and Mr Em, though i often wondered if i would.

Quite young, Ummmm....it’s very young! ;-)

I’m thirty years older than my dad was when he died.

i am 6 years older than when dad passed away and three years older than when Mr Em died. I think it's when our parents pass and we become the adult that it truly hits home

My father died at 54 years of age. That’s 39 years ago. I’m now a lot older than that young whipper snapper.

thank goodness for modern medicine, one has to say that its been a boon for our time

its amazing from just these few posts how many of us have lost loved ones very early on in their lives.

Mr Georgiesmum died just a month after his 62nd birthday.We all know how you feel.x

Im already 5 years older than my mother was when she died.
11 years older than when my father died.
Certainly makes you think.

My mother died when she was 37, a long, long time ago but I still think about her

Been thinking about this myself lately also.I'm now at 64, the same age my father was when he died. Apart from how weird this seems,I,ve realised that its also the fact that at that age I always thought of him and my mother as "elderly"! When did that happen to me:-(

My mother was 96 when she died of pneumonia. Was in hospital to have a hip replacement which she broke falling from a table she had climbed on to change a light bulb. I've a way to go to beat that but not sure if I'll make it.
