It's OK Nescio I'll teach ya ;) It's all about the grip!

Johnny, No this isn't about the ginger and his wife! :D That's sussexit or megsplit. This is the classic Brexit.
Lol
You were a rabid remainer. Done an Italian job have you? Suddenly joined the winning side! You’ll be a Tory next.
1st February sould be named Independence Day or St. Boris's day; a public holiday with grand parades and fireworks.
Be too cold for a street party so let’s see the pubs n clubs open their doors at same time as we kick Europe up the jaxy, they could have pre 1974 prices and bring back the spirit of what was everything good about Britain before Brussels manipulated us :0p
My vote is for a day or even a week of mourning.
Jackdaw; 1 Feb falls on a Saturday - already a non-working day for most.
Why on earth does anyone think we need to celebrate. I am a Brexiteer but don't think''rubbing Remainers noses'' in it by having parties etc. is going to bring about a cohesive society.

Gosh it is always about sides with some people ;) Aren't we one as a country? It's not split into half.

"Why on earth does anyone think we need to celebrate"

It's certainly not about "celebrating" but more marking a pivotal point in British history.
Ken, as I'm sure you know, Bank Holidays which fall on a weekend are moved to the next working day.

You are a lark Spath. Whilst,in the last three years, you have been busy changing usernames and fiercly supporting remain with your two buddies the Brexit fight has been described as'splitting the country' and nearing a 'Civil War.'
In wars there are sides and you chose the losing side, until now, when you appear to have gone 'renegade'

"and nearing a 'Civil War'"

Those papers will do anything to make people think the world is going to end, won't they.

If you think brexit has got the UK anywhere near a civil war then I'm afraid you need to get out of your house more.

RetroCop I think you need to understand that not everyone is a one way or the highway person. Some people can support aspects of both sides, some people can accept that regardless of what is done or said, brexit will be brexit and they will accept and live with it.

One thing for sure is that when we officially exit the EU, it will be a pivital point in history, one we should mark in one way or another.
It would be good if the country could do something everyone can get behind to help mend the fractures it currently suffers.

We all get one swing at David Cameron.
How about a nice cup o' tea eh?

How the worm turns.
Best idea Ladybirder. Whilst I support Brexit, I dont think celebrations are the right idea just yet. It's going to be a hard slog and there are going to be problems. Best leave the celebrations until we have really broken away and everything's in place.
