Well they say the stalking horse doesn't get the win. Was a bit of a half hearted attempt then. I take it she figured she had no chance against Smith.

Who knows what the result will be ?

I can't see that Smith will be any more electable, TBH, although a friend last night said that she liked the sound of him (she did once have a picture of Corbyn in her window, so she's a bit left-wing).

Eagle was never a serious contender. Corbyn would have thrashed her. I don't know about Smith as I'd never heard of him until recently.
