No, I use LastPass anyway so until I get reliable advice either from them or another reliable source (e.g. my mags) I shall sit tight. Everything on my PC is routinely updated anyway so there's probably not much more I can do at the moment.
There was a thread about this last night, too. A guy on the TV said last night that as long as the major sites affected update/patch the gap (and the patch has been issued), there should be no need. it is however good practice to change your passwords on a regular basis anyway.
treetops, what is LastPass?
It's a password mangement program,2sp, which can be used to login with, generate passwords, etc.

Thank you treetops, I might have a good look at that.
Ann, sorry to hijack your thread.

2ps, yes,do. I have used it for the last 3\4 years and never had any problems. I use the free version with the (Firefox) browser plugin.
Have changed for got what I changed them to so will have to rewind to 10 .15
Its not your storage of the passwords thats in doubt, its their storage of your passwords thats in doubt. Bit of scaremongering for sure. Not heard a thing from any of the Utilities/Banks/Major Shopsites so its either fixed or they couldn't care a fig!

I regularly change my bank passwords and rarely shop online and never allow them to save any details.
"it is not known whether hackers had used it"

Hmm... Well until they plug the leak not much point changing it to get pinched again.

Anyway apart from the fun of ruining my rep I'm unsure what they'd get out of mine. We all use "password" anyway, don't we ?
