70's. and first record I bought was "Rave On" by Buddy Holly, but that was in the50's (i think)
The 70s - the decade of the pin ups - Marc Bolan, David Cassidy, Donny Osmond, a black Michael Jackson, The Bay City Rollers, Sid Vicious (?) Raquel Welch (well I pinned her up - so to speak). The different styles of music - pop, prog rock (my fave), punk, Abba, Northern Soul (another fave), teenybop. Come on how many of you ladies of 'that' age wore a tartan scarf around you wrists like the Rollers? Come on - own up
Mum and Dad got me a Dansette for Christmas and the first record I got Mary's Boy Child...Bloody hell 1956 !

Oh 60/70's for me
1970's definately, disco, motown, northern soul. Although the first record I ever bought was 'Albatross by Fleetwood Mac, that was back in 1968.
Ahh yes David, I forgot Motowm and disco Who could forget Saturday Night Fever with the Bees Knees sorry, Bee Gees (Apart from me, that is)
Hi, I'm with you Bobbi (I was born Aug 46). Gotta be the 60's (not sure if there's an apostophe there or not, know it's a plural but there are exceptions, God I'm such a pedant...and nerd!)

Can't remember first record but it could have been Living Doll, or was it Move It?
Loved all the flower power stuff and adored Bob Dylan! Not forgetting Motown!
