another question i am doing for a quiz......

i need 25 BRITSH (not US or other countries) TV Theme tunes that made the UK Top 40, can be any age but must meet these 2 criteria.

Some i thought of....

Hi Ho Silver (Boon) Jim Diamond
Chi Mai (Theme From TV Series The Life And Times Of David Lloyd George) - Ennio Morricone '81

The Song That I Sing (Theme From We'll Meet Again) - Stutz Bearcats & The Denis King Orchestra '82

The Show (Theme From Connie) - Rebecca Storm '85

Big Brother UK TV Theme - Element Four
"Snooker loopy (Big break) Chas and Dave"
not true, big break had it's own theme tune, words along the lines of
"it's only a game so give it a real good fight
i'm gonna be snookering you tonight"
ooooh, I'm sure the words from I could be so good for you a slightly different as well.

I for one didn't actually buy it though so I believe you.
@Arksided - bednobs was pointing out that they are two entirely different songs, musically as well as lyrically.

The Big Break theme song is titled 'The Snooker Song', written by Mike Batt as part of his musical 'The Hunting of the Snark, sung by Captain Sensible and was never in the Top 40.
teletubbies theme
because of you - dexys midnight runners (brush strokes)
Theme From 'The Hong Kong Beat' (9-part BBC documentary on HK police) - Richard Denton & Martin Cook '78
John Barry- Theme from The Persuaders (although maybe that was US rather than UK).

What about Shangalang by Bay City Rollers. (Yes it was a hit first and was then used a sthe theme- but does that matter?)

(Born With a Smile on my Face wasn't a theme tune- I recall the song featured in Crossroads rather than Neighbours, and it was by Stephanie de Sykes.)
I was hesitant about 'The Persuaders' but of course it was a Lew Grade (ITC Entertainment) production so should count.
