My Mum used to play a song in the late 70's/early 80's and it had the lyrics:

I'll reggae for you now, It don't matter how, I'll reggae for you now

& I'm trying to find out what song this was and who sang it.

Can anyone help?

That'll be Reggae For It Now by Bill Lovelady.

Amazing, I was going through some mini discs a couple of days ago (made from the original records) and transferring them to cd.  One such track was Bill Lovelady - Reggae for it now.  That was one of my favs when I first started work as a dj at the end of the 70s.  It got to No12 during the summer of 1979.

This track was definately Bill Lovelady and 'Reggae For It Now' this charted in July 1979 and was pressed on the charisma label. It is a brilliant song and even better it has a full instrumental version of the vocal on the B side, this is rare nowadays. Incidentally, i'm trying to find the lyrics to the track can any one help out?
