'Living Legend' is a term which is bandied about all to easily these days, but if anyone truly deserves it, it's Stevie.

I haven't seen the film in years, so I'm just presuming the song your'e looking for is on the soundtrack.

Question Author
stevie sings it.some of the lyrics go something like "living of the love of the land".sorry its a bit vague, but iam huming the tune in my head.

Ok, now I know;  it's:

Feeding Off The Love Of The Land

It was a b side to 'Gotta have you'

It was originally made around the time of the 'Talking Book' album, but never made it onto it. I think it's basically the same but with re-recorded vocals - A version also featured on a benefit album for Romanian orphans called 'Nobody's child' but it had a slightly different arrangement.

Here's some lyrics:

Seems the wisdom of man hasn't got much wiser
Than the very beginning of our time
Agree or war has been our way of compromising
Let live and love has become our biggest lie

Seems to me that fools are even more foolish
Thinking of themselves and nobody else
But then if asked for poor will riches be replenished
They say boot straps must be pulled up by themselves

Feeding off the love of the land
Leaving much to be desired

Living off the love of the Lord
While the price for life is higher

Isn't love to be admired
Has the good in man expired
Stealing all the love and the beauty from the land.....

I love Stevie, but I prefer it when he keeps away from religion.
