Wasn't it the mother of Mike Nesmith (of The Monkees fame)?
Yes, Bangkok10120, that's what I thought.
Out of interest can you explain your username?
Mike Nesmith's mother invented Liquid Paper. Then Tipp-Ex came along as a rival product. I doubt Willie Nelson was involved.
This is another urban myth, doubtless corrupted from the truth, which as stated, is that Mrs Nesmith, a secretary, invented the idea of correction fluid, and was smart enough to patent her invention, ensuring that her son and heir could get by with the first of his eight-figure fortunes - two more came from the virtual invention of MTV, and of course, the wondeful Monkees.
...and enabled him to produce some of the most wonderful records of the last few decades as a solo artist.
The man who invented Tippex was a German.  I don't know his name thouh.
