Sweets for my sweet was a number one hit for The Searchers on the 10th Aug 1963. It was written by Doc Pomus and has been performed by other bands since.

"Sweets For My Sweet" was originally recorded dy The Drifters in 1961 with Rudy Lewis on lead vocal and subsequently covered by The Searchers in 1963.
