there's a version of chestnut mare on the "untitled" double album released in 1970.
Hmmm... the tracklisting for The Byrds' album "Untitled" has the running time of the track "Chestnut Mare" as 5:11

whereas the single is listed as 5:10

Is that what you meant by shorter?

No kempie, i bought the single when it first came out and played it over and over again, but last night I just happened to look for it on you tube, found it and then when i played it, there was a whole piece in the middle that was never on the original 45, I played that record over and over and over again on my record player back then , and I know there is a difference in these two versions.
