Michael and Janet Jackson I would think
Janet Jackson hasn't had a UK number one, has she? As far as I'm aware, the only brother and sister to have both had solo number ones are the Bedingfields, and they're not American.
janet hasn had a uk number 1. i thought of jimmy and marie osmond but she only got as high as no 2
Daniel & Natasha Bedingfield both had seperate No1's. Are they American ?, didn't think they were, could be wrong.
Just a thought but what about The Carpenters???
Question Author
Thank you all for your replies
1) Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield are classified as British although they were born in New Zealand
2) I don't think Janet Jackson or Marie Osmond had UK Number 1 hits
3) I don't think the Carpenters had individual Number 1 hits.I don't think they had one as a duo either
More suggestions please

White Stripes?
Janet jackson has had a UK no 1 album?
Yes, Janet Jackson had an album that got to No 1 on 29th May 1993 (to be exact!) called Janet.

Hi Alibobs and lafrancaise
Many thanks for the answer and confirmation

would it not be Donny Osmond with Puppy Love and Marie Osmond with Paper Roses in the 70's
Question Author
Hi Memore
I don't think Marie Osmond got higher than No 2 with Paper Roses, but thank you for your response

Seriously, I don't think there's an answer to this. I think whoever set the question in the first place has messed up on their research (or done it from faulty memory without checking at all - it happens all too often, unfortunately) and there is NO American brother and sister who have both had UK number 1s. (I suppose if you were to count fictional characters, then technically you could say that Bart and Lisa Simpson were both on the Simpsons' "Do The Bartman", but even then, the question says number 1s, plural, so that doesn't work either).

Hi jenstar
Thank you for your response
I was beginning to think along the same lines
spursfan
I think it was donny and marie osmond. donnie had number 1's in his own right but the osmonds as a group also got to number one with love me for a reason,so if she was included in the group then technically they have both been at number 1

Hi tellyaddict
Thank you for your suggestion
The quiz has a query line and the wording has been altered to include albums,so I am going with Michael and Janet Jackson, who,as confirmed on a previous post, had a No 1 album in 1993 with Janet
