Slade did the original, but who did the recent cover version (last 2 or 3 years I think)?

Sounds like Oasis a bit.

It's a male vocal and a very much slower version.

Noel Gallagher recently did a version. I bet it s not the Steps version!!!
Not sure if it's the one you want, but Noddy Holder did a solo, acoustic version at the end of the first series of 'The Grimleys'. It was absolutely stunning in its simplicity but, as far as I know, he never released it as a single. I've certainly never heard it anywhere else.

Was it comercially released?
Oasis' acoustic version is fab and it was (is?) available on a charity album about three years ago. sorry, but i can't remember what it was called though as i only borrowed it.
Steps done a cover version but better that Oasis version
