Why when the video of this song is played on any channel on TV at Christmas it shows them singing it many years after it was originally a hit in 1973? What's happened to the original showing them on Top of the Pops in 1973?

If it's not a Beeb channel then maybe they are not allowed to play it or they refuse to pay royalties to the Beeb
