To haver is to talk rubbish!
HAHA....I remember my old band partner learning this to take the rip out of me when we were playing (Scottish accent and glasses) and he asked me the same question....he thought it meant being sick!
Havering?.....easy.. it's the same as blethering (glad I've cleared that up then!) Steve
Hate to disagree DrWu! If you are blethering you are having a conversation. If you are havering you are blethering nonsense or going on a bit. They don't mean the same thing!
Sorry to disagree brawburd, but where I come from if you are blethering you are are talking nonsense. Regional variations obviously apply.
I come from same part of same toon as the proclaimers - so, we will go with my definitions!! :)
