Haha, my husband recoils in horror at his name and he’s older than I am Vulcan, there were other great radio shows back then like
Top of the Form
In Town Tonight
The Archie Andres show ( and he was a ventriloquist dummy)
Ted Ray and Rays a Laugh
I love to go a-wandering,
Along the mountain track,
And as I go, I love to sing,
My knapsack on my back.

Chorus:
Val-de-ri--Val-de-ra-
Val-de-ri--Val-de ha ha ha ha ha ha
Val-de-ri--Val-de-ra.
My knapsack on my back.

The Happy Wanderer, by the fabulously named Obernkirchen Children's Choir
Gilly Gilly Ossenfeffer Katzenellen Bogen by the Sea

Catchy title

Songs that would never dare to be aired now in these days of wokeism
I remember the programme well. I had a song called Little Red Monkey played for my birthday one year. I loved Michael Holliday, saw him at my local theatre. Died far too young, such a shame.
Question Author
Eee Roo, yes, I remember that :0)))
