Some lovely pieces here
I used to like playing classical stuff when I was dead little...

'Haydn Seek' it was called :-)
Yes thank you, Captain
When I was dead little I thought Debussy was a liqueur. :-(
Was lucky enough to see Karl Jenkins himself conduct this at The Bridgewater Hall Manchester as part of The Armed Man - an evening never to be forgotten.

Must add that to me Liszt retro!
As long as it is not a duet with Brahms...
I was weaned on Straus from a very early age. My Mum always wanted to go to the New Years Eve concert in Vienna but had to settle for watching on the TV. My daughter took me to a Straus concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, it was lovely. You should have seen the look on her face when I started clapping to the Radecki (sp?) March until she realised everyone else was doing it. Would love to see Andre Reui in concert. The classical piece I've chosen for my funeral is this one.Problem being, I won't be able to hear it!
You don't need to have a belief to listen to this and imagine being lifted into a wondrous paradise, it builds so beautifully.

Andre Reui was just magic Barsel
I watch him when he's on the TV but it's not the same as actually being there for the atmosphere. x
Mamya, I remember the first time I heard that and I cried all the way through it. Incredibly moving. x
I can't answer that clearly, there are so many pieces which I love. Got married to Beethoven's Pastorale symphony, but there are so many that I can't choose apart from one, not heard much these days.

Delius 'Song of the High Hills'. My dad was a fan of the English impressionists and hugely knowledgeable musically. Most Sundays during my childhood I woke to this ringing through the house. It's a beautiful piece and I still treasure his L.P. - even though I can't play it.
I have broad tastes. Our singing group is rehearsing the beautiful 'Ave Verum' by Elgar; I love G&S; J. Strauss; a bit of Tchaik. never goes amiss....I could go on. But no-one has heard of the Delius piece, please give it a go - Dad saw (and obviously heard) him play inBradford in one of Delius' last concerts.
