Guilty Pleasure?

After 10 years a widow I finally allowed myself to admit that I really like having the bed to myself!
I still miss him, but oh.... the lovely feel to be able to turn and move in the bed not having to worry about disturbing him.
I enjoy not having to cling on the side of the bed and clutch the duvet to hang on to it while he lays spreadeagled across the middle with arms and legs everywhere.
Anybody else have a secret guilty pleasure?

Yes mine is exactly the opposite. I hate sleeping alone, and I wake up early so I can watch him sleep when I'm with him, and when I'm back home on my own I have a cuddle pillow I spray with his aftershave like a lammo so I can sleep better :)
Not having to migrate to the spare room ....not having to consider someone else's needs, but I'd give both up in an instant to go back to having him around... maybe like my mum once I am further down the road I will be too selfish to share my life again.
Pass me a bucket.

Anyway.....
I don’t think I have any.
Having some time to myself, so I can do what I want to.

Klavidir... long may it continue.
Rowanwitch... I know and have felt like that for a long time, but as they say it gets better. Slowly.
Don't know if I would ever be in a position to share a bed again but it would have to be someone very special..
For a good few years, I stayed firmly on 'my' side of the bed, can't even remember when I began to commandeer the whole space whenever I felt like it.
Like Zacs, I have none .... but unless you're doing something you shouldn't be doing why feel guilty anyway?

It's hard to say. really, Maybe I feel I am betraying his memory by feeling I am enjoying the space he once took.
Your memories are no less. The space is shared. No reason to feel guilty.
No worries MrsLadyBug :)

I think Naomi's right, I usually do what I want without feeling guilty, but someone I have an issue with made a prize twonk out of themselves after a lot of plotting disengeniously recently and when I found out I was actually very gleeful about it blowing up in their face and not at all as evolved as I'd like to think I am. Not a very nice trait, and one I didn't knew I had really, but I did actually enjoy it immensely :/

Sorry kval but that sounds like something from the script of Fatal Attraction 2, if it was to be made! LOL
How do you wake up on cue? I'd need to set an alarm! Zzzzzzz.......
Thanks chill, I'll audition for that then if it ever comes up, fortunately he doesn't have a rabbit :)
It's not as creepy as it sounds I often don't sleep well so I'm awake a lot and older men look nice when they sleep, it takes all the years and worry away from them x
No it's not odd, I used to wake before Dave and watch him sleep sometimes,
Rolls eyes.
It will pass. Zzzzzzzz.....
Mmm.
Thanks Rowan, I was beginning to feel really weird there for a minute :)x

Naomi..Maybe feeling guilty is not the right phrase, but it is a strange feeling, none the less..
