Should TfL staff be using the noticeboard for such messages (as opposed to, say - information about tube trains)?

Was Ms Allen correct to call this out?

Also, if you read out the title of this question with John Humphrys' voice in your head - it totally sounds like three specialised subjects on Mastermind.

mmmmm. I do see her point. While its a part of history and we shouldn't ignore or erase it, I am not sure that its appropriate for an "on this day" public post. I think in general, such posts intended to entertain travellers are a reasonable idea but ya gotta pick your subject
who is Lilly Allen?
Something, something, something, ignore the content of the OP and rabbit on about something ... or other.
I won't ask what her problem is - she seems to suffer from it regularly though. It's a bit of British history and I don't think anyone should have apologised. People like her need to lighten up.
Maybe they'll balance it out with a different snippet of History each day.

Eventually everyone will be appeased.
Good grief. Have some folk nothing better to do but object to the inoffensive ? It's a human interest notice, about an event in history. I know we are all different and I try to understand others' points of view, but some are so way out there, it's difficult to think they are doing anything but deliberately making a fool of themselves.

Maybe they already did that, Mamya?
Oh goodness, did they?

Someone should tell her then.

Off for a look.
Right, sorry - easily confused just now.
if this was just a disinterested recording of history, it's odd that they didn't mention the battle of Isandlwana on the same day. I wonder why?
“Don’t mention the war”
I think "on this day stuff" should be lighthearted though....something to be cheering and interesting....not essentially "on this day some of our ancestors killed other of our ancestors"

Lily Allen is basically Katie Hopkins through a looking glass.

woofgang - I agree. If there are no station announcements to be made surely the board could be put to better use?
I don’t see it was any place of TFLs to put such a message on one of their boards. Maybe a ‘rougue’ employee who had a long lost relative fight there?
Does she do anything else apart from get easily offended on behalf of others? I wonder what fee-paying she she went to?
She attended 13 schools in all and got expelled from several of them.
The shame. 150 bloodthirsty taffs attacking 4,000 peace loving Zulus.
It's Will I feel sorry for.

Red cheeked??
Ms Allen seems unbalanced.
