Tuesday. Still not had the promised frost here. All calm and quiet out there this morning. Yesterday was good, sunshine with just the odd short shower. I can live with that after what has been thrown at us. I feel sorry for the folk on the levels and other places that have had the worst of it. Now the water level is falling they have the clearing up to do . It must be heartbreaking for them. The upside is it's going to be a good day today we are told!
All fine this end albs. NOOOOO!!!!! No Stroud today. Once is enough. Stonehouse later this morning, which is on a par with Stroud. So I shall need refreshment this evening. But at least I can use a back road and just go to the place I want without going through the town.
millions are being spent on 'improving' our local big town, I still can't see any improvement after a couple of years.
Fancy looking 'apartment' blocks which look awful, the student accommodation blocks look like they'd be better of in Moscow High Street :-)
That's modern development for you albs! There's a lot to be said for small villages. I lived in one many years ago. I loved it. Cam is a village, but a bit on the large side. It's nice where I am though. :o}
My village is like that now, getting bigger and bigger, there's no clear lines anymore.
The local factory closed, flattened and some very, very posh houses were built.
A local farmer has sold some of his land for housing which has got some aerated, but folk need somewhere to live
I think it's the folk in the posh houses who are up in arms, as the land is across the road from them :-)
