A ‘Ladies Night’ is an occasion on which females can get a bit tipsy and then make ‘Phwooaar’ noises and sexually suggestive comments to males in precisely the same thoroughly justified way as does NOT apply the other way round.
Hope this helps.
Half price margaritas

Male strippers with unfeasibly large privates

Loud music

All night Bar

You have to wear a pink stetson (they sell them in Claire's Accessories)
OMG ^^^

Luckily, although i have been on 30+ cruises, none have had a "Ladies Night."
^^^ was for JJ's post.
ignore Jayne, she is thinking of "men's nights" in Brighton

Would it be the one occasion when it would be permissable to break with convention and for the ladies to invite a man to dance?
Well, obviously here are different types of ladies nights.
Hang on, shoota ... that's a ladies excuse me.
excuse mes are when you're already dancing, aren't they? Actually inviting someone to dance before you take the floor is normal
I was thinking that there might be an entire evening of such lasciviousness JJ.
Oh, fair enough.
They don't have strippers on Ladies' Nights at the Masonic Lodge, LOL
Surely "Ladies Night" occurs between 365 to 366 times every year ?
Coming from a slightly more men only society
and kloofje have a few S A relations....

SOme dinners are men-only and they have ladies nights when ladies come dolled up in evening dresses, stoles and so on and have a good time, and the men are meant to be attentive.

I went to one at a London Royal College, in 2000 and all the ladies got together at the end and agreed collectively not to come to another !!!!
collective desire not to meet husbands' colleagues....

If it is a cruise on the Nile - then I think, as it gets quite cold,
between main course and pud, you go onto the deck and watch Cairo burn.....
