Fine thanks boaty. It was another night of winds and heavy rain. All seems calm now though. No great plans for today, just a bit of food shopping, bank visit then home. Ironing all done. Nothing to do but get a bottle of cooking sherry and a straw and sit and watch telly I suppose!

I'm going to 'Wings and Wheels' That's a group of people who host talks on varying types of transport and travel. Last month the speaker was a Spitfire pilot talking of his exploits in the Battle of Britain. He was an excellent speaker. He holds the DFC and the Air Force Cross. He didn't get them for doing nothing! He also hold the MBE. A brave man. He was shot down twice and was back in the air the same day in one case!

Tonight we have a talk on the early days of the local railways. The bar will be open. It should be interesting! :o}

Sounds like a good evening. Have fun. A friend of mine... well, his father was a Lancaster bomber pilot during WW11 and he was a VERY interesting man to talk to.
