When there is nothing on tv, (often ) I plug my head into you tube and listen to Gary Puckett, Chrispan St Peters, Gene Pitney, Manfred Mann and that kind of era where vocal preformances were important. Are there any little know ( one hit wonders ) artistes I could catch up with? I like most music ...well apart from ridiculous pop ' songs' that seem to earn folk an awful lot of money for screaming, talking, owt but sing!

I love trawling through Youtube listening to oldies. Have you tried the Searchers lately? Or the Beach Boys, Kathy Kirby, The Shadows, oh I could go on and on! I was way back in the Seventies on Friday past - driving Queenie nuts! I had fun anyway...

Paddywak, thats for that Prelude track, I had not heard them before.
Nungate, I consider The Searchers and The Hollies better vocally than The Beatles, who without doubt had the better manager !
Very likely Flump, I can't believe I forgot about the Hollies! There was a documentary about them on Sky Arts a couple of months ago which was fab! I hope you have Sky so you can watch it when it is repeated, it took them from the very beginning right up to now.
'You've got to hid your love away' by 'The Silkie
'Concrete & Clay' by 'Eddie Rambeau'
Sorry Nostalgia that should read 'hide' not 'hid'
