Of course, 'it wasn't about the money'.

How is it a form of racism? Gingers aren't a race.
Saying that, I think I'd be very insulted by that comment.
I have/had red hair....bloody grey. :-) Bit darker than this lady's. I loved being a red head. I love redheads and ordered a red haired daughter but we take some stick. Less now than when I was growing up.
I would have made sure I had an apology for a remark like that.
My OH has brighter ginger than that. He's also going grey so I've started taking the piss out of a none existent bald spot instead :-)
Would love to see the bank transfer the worker to Dublin. :-)
wow, does everyone get insulted by bank staff like this?

If the clerks at my bank start shouting OI, DOGFACE at me, I'm going to move my account.
I'd take the insult for £150.
With ginger hair I'm surprised she got a mortgage.........................
Lol.
The comment might have been jaw-droppingly inappropriate, but I'm not sure that offering money, nor seeking the public flogging of the Customer Service Operative is quite the right way forwards...
I think it's a lovely colour. I don't understand why they get grief.

Watching them shade hunt is funny though.
What' shade hunting Ummmm?
On hot days out they seek shade.
Thank you....thought it was a game for reds and I was missing out. x
I once went on holiday to Italy in July with a ginger. She spent the entire fortnight in the shade and came home as white as she went, but with 31 mozzy bites..........................
I yearned for dark skin at one time....Oh for a tan! Always been very pale. A friend did a skin age test on me not long ago. My skin is 45....I'm 62. So I suppose there was one benefit.
I have one sister who manages to get bronzed though I think she is nuts.

My skin is so fair and freckled - thank goodness for Clinique Factor 15 - it's brilliant stuff, works for hours, and isn't oily.
They aren't very effective when you work outside and sweat a lot. OH has a permanent t-shirt shirt mark (face/neck/arms) and just as it's fading the summer is back.
more grey than fair/ginger now but i've never had a tan - not even during sojourn in africa.
Factor 50 for me having decided to be pale and interesting....or is it annoying?
