gone now i think - more's the pity. record shops like that can't compete now.
You mentioned Queen earlier. A favourite B-side of mine is their See What A Fool I've Been (b-side to Seven Seas of Rhye), for my money one of their best ever songs.

Submarine by Genesis is an unusual and atmospheric instrumental that was b-side to Man On The Corner.

XTC and Radiohead are two favourite bands of mine that have an abundance of superb quality b-sides, so much so I'm not sure which ones I'd pick out.

Thanks. I had most Queen albums and a few singles but I'll need to look up See What A Fool I've Been on youtube as I can't immediately remember it. Was it taken from one of the first two Queen albums
Perfect Day by Lou Reed - B Side to Walk On The Wild Side. Discovered this gem years before Trainspotting made it famous.
A good b side for me is:

a non album track
not a track that is later flipped to be the A side
not the less commercial track of a double A side finding greater popularity

For me there are too many to pick one out. I can give three which I think are the worst:

Neil (from the young ones) Hurdy Gurdy Mushroom Man (b side to hole in my shoe)

I hated this then and I hate it now.
I did list three but it came out weird on here. The Mike Oldfield one is probably the worst though.
