Hi,

I have lost the sound when I play a dvd on the laptop. It goes through the whole film with no sound.

It was there for the first film I watched but not any others.

It still plays sound only discs but not sound on DVDs.

I have had a fiddle with the settings but still no luck.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be and how to fix it please.

Thank you

Sorry forgot to add that I still get sound when I watch something on the internet.
As ever which version of windows would help!

But, a lot of versions don't come with full (or any) support for DVD playback, installing the klite codec pack should provide you with support for DVD OK...

(You can untick the media player classic option during the install, it's not needed)
