I'm pretty indifferent to the Royal family.
But hats off to the Queen today and the old Greek fellow.
They are both have stood up for several hours in the damp to watch the pass by.
Not many people of that age could do that.

As I said earlier, she must be desperate for the loo by now.
Just watching them jigging to the Hornpipe. Brilliant.
Any crossed legs yet.

Couldn't agree more, as for the rain, I think it just added to the Britishness of it all!
headwreck, she hasn't left the deck once. She hasn't sat down either.
She did go below deck at the beginning bless her.
How amazing were those singers....dripping wet and belting it out!

Brilliant - the whole event's been superb.
Ooh sorry I missed her going below!
The finale with the orchestra and the singers, singing their hearts out was truly Britain at its best.

That was FANTASTIC. God Bless her.
They did say she was going to greet guests below decks ;0)
I really hope she's enjoyed it. Bless her, she didn't have to stand but she did so that people could see her. Credit where credit's due.

Yes well done to her and showing the stamina at her age to stand for the whole day.

I do wonder if the nation would show such mass admiration for Charles and what ever her name is, when they are King and Queen.

I think the queen will reign for another 20 years and then Charles will be in bad health (excuse) and it will go to William.
queen godzilla doesnt sound quite right...
Well done R.H. you done the country proud. HIP HIP
I agree with you.....

She'll be having a gin and dubonnet now
Three cheers for ER - rah! rah! rah!
Makes you proud to be British doesn't it? Well it did me anyway, and that doesn't happen very often these days.
SIRandy, given how long her mum lived, I expect Her Maj is good for a few years yet. I can't help thinking you're probably right about Wills being the next king. I don't think Charles would really want the job anyway.
the singing of ''land of hope and glory'' in the pouring rain was a great part of the ceremony...well done...very british and patriotic...
i think that charles will want to be king even if he is 80 when he gets to the throne..it is his birthright...
