What's the last thing you do.

Before you go to bed. I'm not talking about having a wee. For me it's having a smoke out of the window and thinking of the grandkids I will never have.

Jeza, there are no words to answer how you must feel, therefore the last thing I do is thank my lucky stars for everything I am lucky to have....oh and take my specs off (if I remember) - no one here to take them of me now if I forget. :-)

Make sure all the doors are locked. Get something out the freezer for tomorrows dinner[or pretend to forget] then I can have a take-away!
Then I have a look on here to see if there's anything interesting. Then I finally go to bed and read until my eyelids are droopy, then hopefully zzzzzzz!

Look out the window ...at the city lights...and appreciate how lucky I am

Turn the TV and the computer off, wash the dishes, go to the loo,make sure my alarm is set, turn off the lamp, and go to sleep.
I try not to think about things that might keep me awake or give me nightmares :-)

Give the cat a little snuggle (well as much as I can get away with before he tries to bite my nose off), stick my head out the back door for a ciggie, few gulps of milk, tuck up in bed then off to snoozeland.

I doubt I'll be having any grandkids either, no sign yet and the clocks ticking.

I look out of the bedroom window to see if the foxes have been for the food
I put out for them, then TRY[i and remove my cat, so that I can get in
]HER/MY[i] bed, if she's not moving, then I put AB on, which is usually most
nights, in bed. Last thing, switch off, lights off, sleep hopefully.

I don't go to bed unless I'm really tired. I wouldn't sleep otherwise..

I have a pile of about ten books on my bedside table, all "on the go".

I like to dip into different genres of book, depending on my mood ... bit of a murder thriller, bit of a bio, bit of a chick lit, bit of a non fic, bit of a rom com, etc.
