I got an e-mail from Fedex Customer Service saying courier service couldn't make the delivery of my parcel-Status Wrong postal code. It gave more info and ended up with " If the parcel isn't received within 30 working days our company will have the right to claim compensation from you for its keeping in the amount of $15.98 for each day of keeping it" I was told a postal label was enclosed and to print it out etc
I know my memory isn't all that good but I can't remember ordering anything lately.
Have any of you heard of this company, please?

it sounds like scam to me. I would ignore it.
If you haven't ordered anything then ....... Spam! Spam!
I have received several such messages all of which I have ignored.
There appears to be a courier company called Fedex.
Google them and obtain telephone number and contact them using that.
It IS a scam. If you haven't ordered anything, ignore it. Check it out on Snopes.

I hope you didn't open the attached file.
just ignore it, I'm sure someone else posted this or something similar
quite recently.
I get emails from Fedex on a weekly basis telling me about delivery problems they're having with my address, (details enclosed in an attachment of course) don't EVER open the attachment, been going on for ages, it's a scam.

Thank you.I didn't open it up to find out the postal address so I''ll take your advice and ignore it.Just wonder how they could have my e-mail address.
It's a scam, of course. I've had several of these messages, and my e-mail system recognises them as scams. If it was a parcel, wherever do you suppose 'Fedex Customer Services' got your E-MAIL ADDRESS from?
Scammers will just pump out thousands of email addresses daily, using an array of computers to automate the sending, which run all available spellings of email addresses.

Thank you all for your advice. No ,I didn't open the attached file. I can stop worrying now. Thanks again.
These scammers found your email address just like they find everyone's address. I can't count the emails I've had from Nigeria promising me millions and even had one from Ghaddafi's daughter, asking me to help her claim her dead father's fortune.

Don't worry, you're not unique.

I'm so glad I asked for advice on CB. You are all so helpful.I can relax now, knowing my memory isn't failing me yet!! Amazon is about the only company I order from so that's why I was suspicious of that e.mail
Quinie, anything you are unsure of, know nothing about, not signed up for, & not expecting & you received an EMail about " DELETE" that way you are safe, OPEN UP you could expect problems.
it's a common scam, I've had this one several times - they just spam emails until someone falls for it. Delete. (If it's FEDEX and they are charging you in US dollars, that's a signal!)
It's one of the more common scams. My spam email box regularly contains these along with details of HMRC refunds, verification requests for banks I don't bank with, and millions of pounds for me in Nigeria
Here are examples of scams from fedex customer protection
