I think it is Kari Kari. It is a Maori love song.

its pokarekare ana and it is maori. Can be had on Hayley Westenra's album PURE. Lots of maori stuff on it

Maori words but an English tune, I believe, probably carried there by very early settlers or the transient seamen who preceded them
