Car forcourt prices and website prices

Can a car garage advertise a car on their website for a different price than whats on their forcourt?? baring in mind it doesnt state on the website "web exclusive" etc.

Yes. Either side can negotiate a price
The price advertised is effectively an offer to negotiate - that being their starting point.

No one in their right mind would pay that price.
No need for two posts on this, or is this your starting point for negotiations

@ hopkirk - what would be there starting price the higher forcourt price or the lower website price?? (£1000 dfference) I'm soooo confused, isn't this a form of false advertising?
Well if I were seriously interested I would tell them I had seen it advertised on line for £1000 lower, but that it was still considerably above what I was prepared to pay.
