Got BMW M3 2003 alarm keeps going off randomly - have made sure all windows and doors are closed securely - but I have noticed that it goes off only in the day when the sun is out - is it something to do with heat - if so can any one give me any tips to stop it?

I assume you have volumetric sensors ..?
If there is a control box they plug into, there may be a sensitivity setting.
Failing that, try shutting all the vents on the CC before you switch off. That worked with my Skyline.

Oh Albags, I am only a woman - I don't understand technical jargon - can you put it in english for a woman! I know CC is climate control but volumetric sensors _ no way!

They are the small ultrasonic sensors that look like tiny speakers that "watch" the interior of the car.
Why not look for a local BM specialist and pop in there and ask the question?

Thanks Albags it looks as though I shall have to call in the BMW Garage - there is no rhyme or reason to it!
