Has anyone tried the special k diet? Im on week 2 and have lost 5lbs so far :)

Do you not worry that you'll put it all back on when you start eating normally again?

Not really Because i am actually going to stick to eating better. The weight that i have gained this last 6 months is because i quit smoking. So once ive lost the stone ive put on i am going to monitor my weight :)
it doesnt even have to be special K, eat any cereal for 2 weeks breakfast and dinner and you would lose weight. But yes as ummm says once your body gets back to normal it will go back on
You need to find things to kick start your metabolic rate that would have slowed down once you quit smoking.

But if you can give up smoking monitoring your food should be easy. You've proved you have willpower.

:) yes i made the decision to quit smoking back in nov 09 used patches for 2 months and have been cigarette free ever since really happy :)
I am also cycling for 1 hour and evening so im getting excercise too Once i have lost my target weight of a stone might even push my self to lose a little more i am going to mointor my daily intake of food so far im sticking to 1 bowl of spec k in morn one at lunch then 1 healthy balanced meal in the evening. Going well if i feel hungry inbetween i have some cherries or strawberries etc
Special k is also full of salt and sugar alot more than you would think as they promote it as a healty cereal !!!
I lost my 2 stone and a half last with the special k. I have not put it back on as I have not gone back to my crisps choc and biscuits . If I do find that I have put a litlle on like a pound or two I go back on the special k for a few days. Drink unsweetened grapejuice every day that helps to break up the fat .

flyboy1664 surely special k is alot better than cheese n ham toasties for lunch which i got my self into the habbit of!
I now eat no snacks cheese crisps etc etc
So special k to me is great a life saver lol
3 MONTHS .I don't have chips I use potato wedges .Eat lots of chicken and fish crab sticks .Don't live on salads just have that as a side dish.Just buy all the low fat dressings, skimmed milk.But have a treat once a week.

wendilla im on semi slim milk now not eating any cheese
Dont really use salad dressings or sauces so thats good
I have only been having salad as a side anyway as i was told salad
holds alot of water.
Im am currently eating alot of chicken and white fish i.e cod etc
How long have you been of the spec k diet now?
werw you on special K diet for 3 months? middkazsam well done for giving up smoking and it could be that the cycling for an hour each night has helped the weight loss more than the special k has. I couldnt do it I'd get so bored of it. I am addicted to crispbakes at the moment though and lots of fruit. I've found drinking lots of water has helped me lose weight but slowly so like 2lb a week
Do you really need to lose any 4get? You don't look like you do...

2lb a week off is better than 2lb on.I was pleased if I just lost a pound. It has been a year now .Just think it's the fat that puts the weight on. Eat healthy and you will soon get it off and be stable. I do have the odd chinese and chip shop fish but just occasionally
ummmm I only put my good photos on FB lol. I just want to lose about a stone and get rid of belly

I'm strange because I tend to put it on when I exercise because of muscle etc. I've found starving myself doesnt help so I've been eating little bits but more times through the day
I have been off the special k for a year but if I find I have put a pound or 2 on I go back on it for a week.
If you gain muscle easily the best thing to do is measure yourself and stay away from the scales...
